What this is
Starfall is entertainment. It reads what you tell us about your animal and what is visible in a photograph, and writes something about it. It is not veterinary advice, it is not a behavioural diagnosis, and it cannot tell you anything about your animal’s health.
If your animal’s behaviour changes suddenly, or it seems to be in pain, that is a reason to see a vet and not a reason to read anything here.
What it claims, and what it does not
Readings are written in an intuitive, first-person voice: what Elena senses, what an animal “shows” her. That is a way of writing, not a claim of proven ability. They are written with the help of writing tools, from your answers and your photograph, by the reader who writes as Elena Starfall, a pen name. Nothing in a reading is a statement of fact about your animal’s thoughts, past lives, health or future. It is for entertainment and reflection.
What you buy
The reading, $49.99, once. Read by Elena and in your inbox within 12 hours. It includes one more question to her after you have read it, and the handbook, as a gift. Yours to keep: it has its own link, and that link keeps working.
The Soul Covenant, $9.99, once. Optional, at checkout: an 8 × 10 page for your animal, on your reading page, to print or save as a file and frame.
A second reading, $39.99, once. Optional, after checkout: a reading for another animal, started from a link whenever you are ready. It can be used once.
Sooner, $9.99, once. Optional. Your reading moves to the front of the queue. The reading itself is the same.
A year with your animal, $199, once. Today’s reading, a check-in every three months against a new photo (three in all), and one question to Elena each month for twelve months. Paid once. It does not renew and nothing is charged again. If you bought a single reading, you can change it to the year for $149 within 30 days of buying it. After that, or when a year has ended, a new year is $199: it starts with a new full reading from a new photo.
Each check-in opens on a date we email you a week ahead. If no new photo has come a week after it opens, it is written from the last photo you sent, and says so. If we ever stop offering the year before yours ends, we refund the part not yet delivered.
A check-in, $39, once. Optional, whenever you choose after your reading: a shorter reading of a new photo, read against the first.
Now and then a reading is offered by email for less, for example $39.99. The price shown when you pay is the price you pay. All prices are in US dollars (USD). Nothing on this site is a subscription.
Refunds
Thirty days from paying to ask for a refund on anything, for any reason, including having read it. Use the link at the foot of your reading.
Each payment has its own thirty days. The check-ins and questions that come with A Year have no price of their own: they are covered by refunding the year within thirty days of buying it. After thirty days, ask anyway and a person will decide.
Your right to cancel
If you live in the UK or the EU you have a legal right to cancel within 14 days. When you pay, you ask for your reading to start straight away, so that right ends once it has been delivered in full. Our 30-day refund above is longer, and it does not depend on this.
Who can buy
You must be 18 or over to buy a reading or to upload a photograph.
Your photo stays yours
You keep every right in the picture you upload. We do not publish it, sell it, or use it to train anything ourselves. Please upload only photos you have the right to share, and not of people.
Who you are buying from
Starfall is run by Keung Ling Ching, Hong Kong. There is no address to write to about an order yet, and nothing is being sold until there is.
